My current body of work is about childhood, party decorations, and the Emperor's New Clothes. In drawing, sculpture and carefully handled watercolours I illustrate failure and nothingness through the playful handling of objects like pipe cleaners and macaroni. These weak power structures suggest vulnerability and fragility, the notion of 'holding it together' as well as the perils of time.
