In the summer of 2007, when bees started dying in epidemic proportions due to industrial farming practices, parasites, climate change, etc. my attention to them them morphed into a vague prediction for the end of the world. I continued to make drawings of abstract bee formations, integrating cell-like structures with a heightened sense of play. Finally, I stepped away from the bee, focusing instead on organic mass, shape and colour - the suggestion of the evolution of a body.
